Tyler Bramlett spent years building everything society told him would make him happy. The physique, the car, the company. He drove his dream car home, pulled into the driveway, turned off the engine, and felt nothing. Then he went to gymnastics class; his body said stop, he said no, and his knee went completely sideways.
What followed was four surgeries, nearly a year spent recovering in bed, and the slow unraveling of an identity built entirely on proving himself. Tyler is the co-founder of WeShape and a movement coach whose approach is rooted in what he calls movement freedom, taking care of your body the way you would take care of someone you love.
In this episode of The Life Shift Podcast, we talk about:
- Why buying his dream car left him completely empty inside
- The gymnastics floor moment that shattered his identity
- Four knee surgeries and what he had to face in the stillness
- The inner critic that drove him and how he learned to rewrite it
- Why he shut down a successful company built on shame-based marketing
- What a choiceless choice actually looks like from the inside
