Jennifer grew up knowing she wanted to be a writer, sitting in her little basement bedroom. It took her a really long time to believe she could, and that she had a story to tell. Part of that story is a brother her mom had to relinquish for adoption before Jennifer was born. She found out at 13, in a sweatshirt, terrible bangs, and blue eyeliner. A month later he showed up in her life, and he's awesome, by the way. Her words. From my conversation with Jennifer Griffith.
