She has five published books, her most recent being Darkness to Light, and is well-versed in curriculum design, having developed and taught subjects from Creative Writing to Forensic Science. She serves as an English Language Learner Coordinator at a high school in Queens, NY, and successfully defended her dissertation on trauma-informed education through Liberty University's Educational Leadership Ph.D. program in late 2023.
