Jasmin Faulk-Dickerson
Jasmin is a social and behavioral researcher, author, speaker, podcaster, and cultural identity advocate. Born in the Middle East to an Arabian father and Italian mother, she lived the intersectionality of her identities as part of the first generation of bi-cultural children in the conservative, isolated Saudi Arabia of the 1970s and 80s. Her areas of expertise include deconstructing social and cultural bias, social identity, cultural oppression, women's rights, multicultural perspective, and racial/ethnic understanding. In her memoir, "The Last Sandstorm," she highlights the colorful and challenging experiences of her upbringing in Saudi Arabia, which led to her harrowing escape in her 20s. She hosts the podcast "I Want You To Meet," where she engages with artists and activists in inspiring and educational conversations.
