For my non-podcasting friends who are curious about what goes on behind the scenes at The Life Shift Podcast:

Here's a quick video showcasing some of my editing process from yesterday's episode.

Using Riverside.fm has been a real timesaver. I can easily cut out flubs or unnecessary segments (how about that weather?), mute speakers, and remove my "yeah, uh huh, oh wow, right..." With the scene switcher, I can also hide parts where people speak over each other and adjust our videos, so we appear the same size. I can export the video and the separate audio tracks when finished.

I then bring the audio into Logic Pro for a bit more polishing.

So, if you're interested in how everything comes together for this self-taught indie podcaster, check out the clip!
